What is the difference between an onsite and offsite backup?
Answered By Editor
The basic difference between an onsite and
offsite backup is its location. Onsite back
ups are connected to your computer or your
network backing up the data right there.
Offsite backup is in a remote area where data
is being sent through an electronic network.
Usually, the transfer is done at night where
final changes are made, the office is closed
and all changes are being sent.
