Can you answer EJ’s question about Data Recovery?:

My friend wanted me to help him reformat his hard drive. When I booted to the Windows XP CD and deleted partitions, I accidentally deleted the USB thumb drive data which was still plugged into the laptop. (Stupid stupid!!!!!)

Now, the USB thumb drive is in a completely unreadable RAW format.

Does anyone have any recommended programs or suggestions as to how to recover data from his USB thumb drive? I tried lots of google searching with no viable answers.
